Delete Your Account & Data
This page explains how to delete your WealthPulse account and all data associated with it. You can do most of this yourself from inside the app. If you have uninstalled the app or lost access to your device, email us and we will delete your account on your behalf.
Option 1 — Delete everything yourself (recommended)
You can fully remove your WealthPulse data without contacting us. The steps differ slightly depending on your sync mode.
If you are using Google Sheet mode:
- Open the WealthPulse app and go to Settings.
- Tap Sign out. This disconnects the app from your Google account.
- Open your Android Settings → Apps → WealthPulse → Storage → Clear storage. This permanently erases the local, encrypted database on your device.
- Open Google Drive and delete the spreadsheet named WealthPulse. This removes every financial record stored in Sheet mode.
- Uninstall the WealthPulse app.
If you are using Cloud Server mode:
- Open the WealthPulse app and go to Settings.
- Tap Sign out.
- Open your Android Settings → Apps → WealthPulse → Storage → Clear storage.
- Send us the deletion request described below in Option 2 so we can delete your rows from our Supabase backend. (We cannot automatically detect an uninstall — the request is required.)
- Uninstall the WealthPulse app.
Option 2 — Ask us to delete everything for you
If you cannot access the app or simply prefer that we handle it, send an email with the subject line "Delete my WealthPulse account". We will confirm receipt within 48 hours and complete deletion within 7 days.
support.wealthpulse@gmail.comPlease send the email from the Google account you used to sign in to WealthPulse, or include that email address in the body so we can locate your records. We only need your Google account email — no other personal information is required.
What gets deleted
- Local data on your device — investments, expenses, budgets, incomes, insurances, loans, goals, and the encryption key in Android Keystore. Removed when you clear app storage or uninstall.
- Supabase account row — your Supabase user record, account-level preferences (theme, currency, sync mode, language, notification settings, consent flags), and any Cloud Server-mode financial rows. Removed when we process your deletion request.
- Google Sheet — the spreadsheet created in your own Google Drive. Only you can delete this — we never had access to delete files in your Drive. See Option 1 above.
- Firebase Crashlytics & Analytics — anonymised, aggregated event counts. These are not tied to your Google account. They cannot be individually deleted but are automatically purged by Google Firebase after a rolling retention window.
What we retain, and why
After account deletion, we do not retain any of your financial data or personally identifiable information. The only records we retain are:
- Transactional email logs from your deletion request itself, retained for up to 90 days for audit purposes.
- Aggregated, anonymised crash and usage counts that cannot be traced back to you.
After 90 days, nothing remains on our servers that can be linked to you.
Delete only some of your data
You do not need to delete your entire account to remove a specific record. From inside the app you can:
- Swipe left on any investment, expense, income, goal, loan, or insurance entry and tap Delete.
- Open an item's detail screen and tap the trash icon.
- Switch sync mode — for example, moving from Cloud Server to a brand-new setup effectively resets your cloud records.
Changes sync to your Google Sheet or Cloud Server automatically.
Deletion is permanent. Once processed, we cannot recover your investments, expenses, goals, or any other data. If you use Google Sheet mode, we recommend making a copy of the WealthPulse spreadsheet in your Drive first if you want an offline record.
